Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. She was the home of her mother and was also a mom. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was an accomplished artist and singer from an early age. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. She was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached through Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to work in the business of show production. McCormick's first big job was during 1964, when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It up and It's Broken at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had an unmarried family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her their virginity to sister Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor 19, at the at the time. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. But the timing wasn't the right time.
